MyrrhWhen burned as incense, Myrrh purifies the area, lifts the vibrations and creates peace. It is usually burned together with frankincense and other resinous incense. It's smoke is used to concentrate objects and as an aid to meditation. Myrrh is thought to help stimulate circulation and is used as an antispasmodic. If it was good enough for Jesus, Myrrh has gotta be good enough for you. Interestingly enough, we have been informed of another passage (aside from the Three Wise Men) referencing Myrrh with Jesus in the bible. Mark 15:23 reads "Here they tried to give him wine drugged with myrrh, but he would not take it." Although it was probably offered in good faith, Bible scholars generally agree that Jesus would not have allowed his judgment to be impaired during this ultimate trial. Don't forget the essential prepackaged charcoal tablet to burn any natural resin incense, plants, herbs, or other natural materials. Natural resins do not work well with direct flame and need a heated source that is not too hot.
